FAQ's

How does our Jet Membership program work?
Our clients sign a once only Jet Membership agreement, deposit funds on their accounts and receive a membership card. You can purchase minimum increments of 5 hours flying time for any category of aircraft once you have placed your initial order for 25 hours. You can replenish your account at any time. Once you are a Jet Membership card holder, you can either make a flight request on-line or by calling an Ascent Jet customer representative.

Do you guarantee availability of aircraft within a given notice period?
Ascent Jet will make its best effort to provide aircraft with as little as 15 hours notice period for Jet Membership card holders. There is no contractual guarantee of availability, but Ascent Jet has access to a sufficiently large number of aircraft in Europe and elsewhere to be able to meet most requirements.

Who typically uses Jet Membership?
Jet Membership is typically used by corporations, professionals and private individuals who have schedules that require frequent travel. Jet Membership offers a high degree of convenience since there is no need to make separate payment for each flight request. Ascent Jet's primary service area is the European Economic Community and Switzerland. We can normally provide aircraft with as little as 15 hours notice for Jet Membership card holders. Are there any peak periods during the year where you may not be able to provide aircraft within a 15 hour notice period for Jet Membership card holders?
Yes, we there are certain peak periods during the year when demand for private aircraft may limit availability. These include peak holiday periods as well as major events such has the Cannes film festival or the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. These peak periods may require sourcing from operators not normally used within the normal positioning range. This can have an effect on hourly rates.

How does Ascent Jet's flexi-pricing model work?
Ascent Jet uses a reference hourly ceiling rate for each aircraft category to price Jet Membership flight hours. This is not a guaranteed ceiling rate, but is the most likely ceiling rate a customer can expect. The actual hourly rate will vary and will fall below the reference rate and occasionally above. The actual rate will depend on variables such as the trip itinerary (one-way or return, number of overnight stays) and the type and availability of aircraft required. Hourly rates are inclusive of aircraft positioning and landing fees. The average historical hourly rates per aircraft type are indicated in our Jet Membership clients' accounts. Ascent Jet is the only Jet Membership program to offer flexi-pricing.

Is Jet Membership and On-demand pricing the same?
There is no difference between Jet Membership and On-Demand pricing. In both cases, you receive an offer which you can accept and confirm. Payment can be made by debiting your Jet Membership Account provided there are sufficient funds on your account. Alternatively, you can make payment by credit card or by direct account transfer.

How long does your reference hourly ceiling rate last?
Ascent Jet's reference hourly ceiling rates are reviewed and published annually. We reserve the right to change the fuel surcharge that is included in our hourly rates. This will normally be in a range that will be no more than 5% of the then current published hourly ceiling rates and will be applied on a trimestral basis.

How does Jet Membership differ from fractional ownership or on-demand charter?
Jet Membership offers the convenience of fractional ownership but adds a degree of flexibility and service that fractional ownership is unable to provide. A Jet Membership card holder's commitment is minimal and reference hourly ceiling rates are known in advance. Jet Membership eliminates the financial burden and capital risk of both full and partial ownership.

On-demand charter offers the highest degree of flexibility but it does not offer the same degree of convenience that Jet Membership offers.

How do I know if Jet Membership is the right solution for me?
Jet Membership is the ideal solution for corporations, professionals and private individuals who travel between 25 and 250 hours per year. For those whose flight requirements are less that 25 hours, then on-demand charter would likely be a preferable solution. Any requirement above 250 hours on an annual basis would justify full aircraft ownership.

Today, there is a large choice of aircraft in Europe from all the principal manufacturers (Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Gulfstream and Raytheon).
